Description: Oscilloscope for Windows v. 2.51 Oscilloscope for Windows uses the sound card as an analog-to-digital converter, providing complete oscilloscope and spectrum analyzer functionality in Windows environment. Unpack all the files from osc251.zip, and create shortcut to winscope.exe. Winscope.exe and winscope.hlp should be in the same directory. Operating Oscilloscope: To start, click On Line ("play") button and speak in the microphone. To freeze plots, click Hold ("pause") button. Refer to help file for more details. Description: This 170 page text was written by Charles Steinmetz, the past president of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers. Originally published in 1914, this text is still very relevant today in explaining the basics of theory without going into the mind-numbing details presented by many modern publications. Many hams will find the text very useful for visualizing phenomena such as transients. This is a 21M PDF file and was converted from djVu format so that anyone can read it even without using Windows OS- a result of the conversion is some small horizontal lines which make it look like notebook paper. Sorry but I can't get rid of that aberation. If you want the djVu version you can get it from the Internet Archive.
